Abstract:

In this paper we intend to analyze the contribution of Romania's agriculture to GDP formation, given its important contribution to the country's economy. Using statistical indicators related to the agricultural area, the number and size of agricultural holdings, the labor force employed in agriculture provided by the National Institute of Statistics and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, we have tried to draw conclusions regarding the elements that characterize the GDP and their evolution starting with 2007, the year of Romania's accession to the EU
