Analysis of the Beef Market in the European Union

Abstract:

This paper highlights on the one hand, the evolution of the beef market in the European Union, and on the other hand, they are presented forecasts for the period 2017-2025. Bovine growth sector in the European Union receives financial support in order to increase competitiveness. In the context of the modern consumer becoming more and more interested in the nutritional value of foods, producing and marketing the meat of bovine animals in more favorable conditions, the European Union represents a necessity. In order to achieve a more representative picture of the cattle market,were analyzed a variety of indicators, such as: cattle; production of beef and veal; total consumption of beef and veal; prices; imports and exports. The statistics that led to the realization of the current study were taken from the official websites of the international institutions of statistics.
