Nowadays, international migration represents a challenge to all the countries worldwide, which affects the countries’ pace of growth, the demographic characteristics of the countries, as well as the ratification of legal instruments, rules and regulations, by creating instability threw the environmental and geopolitical shocks. The study starts by presenting the most representative aspects related to the international migration, as well as the economic and social aspects of migration, and continues with a case study on Romania’s situation in order to provide specific long-term solutions and robust strategies to this challenging phenomenon. Moreover, this theme is up-to-date and extremely controversial, these being two main reasons that represented the motivation for choosing this subject.
