Abstract:

The article analyzes the personal qualities of a psychologist which are necessary for successful professional activity. The results of empirical study of professionally important personal qualities of students-graduates of the psychological specialty, a comparative analysis of the results of students of intramural and extramural education are presented. The study showed that among the students of psychology of different forms of education the highest indicators were found on the scales “man-man”, “social professional type” according to the methods used.  The study revealed that graduates - future psychologists are inclined to work with people, correspond to the profile of the chosen specialty and highly appreciate the professional competencies obtained at the stage of higher education.
