Perceptions on Factors Influencing the Success of Business Women in India

Abstract:

This paper analyse on the empirical study that investigated factors influencing business women’s success. The statistics relating to the field of women in enterprises indicate that, women’s success are affected and disturbed by certain barriers mainly the decision-making capability. Women face unique challenges in their business world that may prevent them from moving up to be a successful entrepreneur. A framework to analyse the factors influencing success of business women indicates factors such  as  demographics,  personality,  culture,  barriers, external and internal support impacts on the success of women. In this study, we surveyed a sample of 200 business women in Tamilnadu, with special reference to Perambalur district. The results of the empirical survey showed that there are statistical significant relationships between the women based on their demographics and their perceptions of the factors that influence their success.
