Quantitative Methods Used in the Study of Food Consumption in Romania

Abstract:

The Food and Agricultural Policy of the European Union has as main direction the consumer demands and food security. Farmers orient their production from a structural, quantity and quality point of view to meet most of the consumer demand and the consumers are aware that they have an important role in ensuring food security, environmental protection, social peace and economic balance. In this context, the present paper aims to capture what is the seasonal variation tendency for food consumption in Romania using the spectral analysis.
