Abstract:

The development of the insurance market in Eastern Europe after 1990 has changed considerably. First, the markets were dominated by insurance companies and around the year 2000, clients started to use mainly insurance broker services. The main reason for the changes was the need for better risk management of companies that insurance brokers provide. In this paper we will use a case study. We will explain the role of the insurance broker in the process of risk analysis and insuring process of a private company. Also, we will define all steps of risk analysis that will be performed on a specific example. Finally, we will compare the benefits of broker for the client by using a comparative analysis, where we compare the efficiency of insurance before and after risk analysis.
