Studies on the Situation of Investments Made with Funds under 313 Measure of the Pndr, in the Development Sector of Rural Tourism in Oltenia

Abstract:

European funds are financial instruments created by the European Union, for member states, private and/or public sector in order to develop certain areas, and to support countries to achieve certain standards development, economic, social or cultural. The grants are the financial aid which is granted without being returned, and target many activities and investments.
Natural landscape specific to Romania offers excellent possibilities for practicing rural tourism, thus allowing recreation in rural environment, experimenting with novel activities, participation in events representative or visiting sights that are not available in urban areas.
Agritourism is generally practiced by smallholders in rural areas / rural households, as a secondary activity, actively involving the woman. With this form of tourism, it allows tourists to return to nature ,ensuring their physical and spiritual comfort and access to the traditional cuisine specific to each zone.
Because of its location, varied landscape ,picturesque places, historical monuments and cultural traditions, the region of Oltenia has favorable conditions for development of mountain tourism, hunting and fishing, caving, walking, spas, especially for rural tourism development.
In the study, it was followed: the number of selected projects; the total value of the projects selected; public value of the selected projects (grants); private value of the selected projects (co). The results were statistically processed and presented in tabular form and / or graphics.
Total eligible amount for the 84 projects selected Oltenia - RDP 2007- 2013 was 21,289,889 €, the public was 12,157,419 € and private value was 9,132,470 €.
