The Moderator Role of Self-Efficacy in Employee’s Compliance Behaviour towards Information Security Policies: Multi-Group Analysis

Abstract:

This paper attempts to highlight the importance of security in the use of information technology.  Thus, assuring the employees behavior in complying with security policies especially in an organization lead to the main aim of this study. Self-efficacy of an individual reflects an employee behavior especially in attaining the organization performance. This reflects from an investigation by using a questionnaire as the method of this study. Thus, it reveals that there is an effect of self-efficacy towards an employee’s compliance behavior towards information security policies as there is an influence of management support, information security, perceived benefit, perceived severity and self-efficacy as moderation.
