Abstract:
The article is devoted to the study of the consequences of Russia's entry into the WTO. The main content of the study is an analysis of the positive and negative effects on the economy that followed the country's accession to the WTO. The authors substantiate the idea that at the moment it is difficult to give a clear assessment of the results of Russia's accession to the WTO due to a number of factors, which include the introduction of economic sanctions against Russia and a change in the foreign trade policy of a number of WTO member countries. Nevertheless, the emphasis is placed on the high importance of precisely the positive aspects. The article focuses on the possible reform of the World Trade Organization. The article summarizes the intermediate results of the study of this issue and defines the main introductory provisions.
