Critical Success Factors of Educational International Development Projects in Lebanon: A Qualitative Approach

Abstract:

A lot of money is being pumped into Lebanon through Educational International Development Projects (EIDPs). Some projects are successful while others are not so successful. The purpose of this study is to identify the Critical Success Factors (CSFs) of EIDPs in Lebanon. A partially exploratory approach is used to gather the data in addition to an empirical literature review. Ten top management employees working in three of the most funded EIDP working with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MEHE) in Lebanon were interviewed. The study then concludes ten CSFs that can be used by EIDPs. The findings of this study will hopefully contribute to better implementation of educational projects in Lebanon.
