Effects of ERP System Implementation to the Soft Drinks Producerʼ s Sales Department Processes

Abstract:

Functioning information system is the necessity for each producer that wants to maintain its market position. This study deals with the possibilities of risk reduction during ERP system implementation and use and highlights the weaknesses of such a process. The main aim of this article is to compare the processes conducted with the support of ERP system and without the support of ERP system and detect inefficiencies associated with ERP system use. The article is prepared using literature review of the studied area and on the basis of selected company’s internal information. At first, the general information on ERP system and their implementation are described. Then the current situation in the selected business unit is analyzed and risk associated with ERP system implementation is identified. In conclusion, the article describes the possibilities of risk reduction in selected company and summarizes the effects of ERP system implementation to the sales department processes.
