Abstract:
Approaches to defining the notion of “integration” of economic entities both in Russian and foreign scientific literature have been analyzed. In particular, such notions as “corporation”, “metacorporation”, “integrated corporate structures”, “integrated economic systems”, etc. have been researched. A hierarchy of integrated structures has been suggested, which reflects the essence of the notion “integrated industrial structures” and allows defining them as a complex economic structure. The authors’ definition of an integrated industrial structure has been suggested. Specifics of integrated industrial structures’ functioning have been reflected. A classification has been proposed that helps to reveal the specific features of integrated industrial structures, divide them into groups, and thus analyze their efficiency more thoroughly.
