Mobility, Demography and Consumption in the European Community

Abstract:

From the perspective of the next two decades, it appears that will increase labor migration flows between the EU, in particular circular migration and illegal migration will decrease in favor of the legal migration, for job security and earnings. This article tries to identify the causes of labor migration, explaining the reasons for the decision to migrate. The research also demonstrates the impact of immigration on household consumption expenditure. Given the increasing tendency of the population to move to a country other than that of origin, in search of a job or other reasons, we should be careful in terms of the demographic consequences of labor migration employment.
