Abstract:

The paper is focused on the energy intake and output imbalance in the diet among high school students. It deals with the incidence of obesity, evaluation, health effects, treatment of obesity and eating disorders. It is also focused on F & B manager functions and obligations in the system of school management. The survey was carried out to determine the incidence of excessive weight and malnutrition among high school students. We compared the eating habits and physical activity among students divided into groups according to their body mass index. The method used was a questionnaire survey. Data from the survey were processed using statistical system UNISTAT. The results of the investigation carried out on a sample of 445 high school students from five schools in Prerov aged 16-18 years (of which 229 girls and 216 boys) show that 79.8% of students have normal weight, 10.1%  overweight, 3.1 % obesity  and 7% underweight. Weight excess was thus detected in 14.2% of the students. The incidence of students with overweight and underweight in this work correlates with the information reported in the literature.
