Abstract:

The purpose of this research is to identify master and PhD students' perceptions about the quality of higher education in the University Politehnica of Bucharest. The research is a qualitative one by interviewing a group of 12 final-year students who voluntarily participated in this study (6 master students and 6 PhD students). Data was collected by using an interview guide and the technique used was content analysis. The interview guide was divided into three sections, namely: quality of higher education in general, teaching and learning environment. According to author’s opinion, the chosen technique is appropriate in order to achieve the goal of the qualitative research. The perception is influenced by the level of high education attended by students and their experience towards university. Using the qualitative research results one can formulate hypotheses for future quantitative research.
