Use of Discount Portals Support by Tourism Service Providers

Abstract:

Virtual environment is now one of the most important elements of communication nowadays. Internet communication found immediate application as a marketing tool even in tourism sphere. E-marketing as the one based on information and communication technologies started to be popular seller of holiday stays or other kind of services offered in tourism. The paper brings the results of the survey conducted in Slovakia at the example of accommodation establishments operating in Slovak tourism sphere and their aim to use discount portals´ services as a strong marketing tool.
