Abstract:
Processes and phenomena known as PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) operate around us constantly without us being aware of it (Terzi et al. 2010). Awareness of the importance of being able to influence and control this process allows us to extend measurable benefits resulting from, for example, prolonging the product's life. The present paper examines a fragment of the life cycle of primary cells from the moment they are considered waste by users to the disposal by an organization or enterprise obliged to do so. Analysis was done of the state of charge of batteries intended for recycling, as well as of the effectiveness of prosocial activities with reference to legal provisions imposed by the Polish Legislator regarding the recycling of these products. Increasing the society's awareness of the idea of sustainable consumption may be considered a way of shaping households' activities in the field of saving or investment and consumption.
