Abstract:
The paper presents the results of comparative study of social representations on euthanasia in 140 medical students from Russia and Uzbekistan. Social perceptions of euthanasia were studied using the 19-point Attitude to Euthanasia Questionnaire (Nikolaev, 2017). The key differences are determined by legal, ethical and spiritual representations. There are trends towards differences, related to gender, age, faith, level of urbanization. The study establishes the closeness of social representations on euthanasia of Russian and Uzbek students in medical, sociocultural and personal aspects of their attitude to euthanasia.
