Abstract:

This paper reports an in-progress research. This research proposes a conceptual research framework for the determinants and impacts of IT governance implementation effectiveness in the context of Malaysian private sector. This paper reviews prior literature and draws on several theories as a basis for a conceptual research framework on IT governance implementation effectiveness. The main contribution of this paper is the identification of determinants and the impacts of IT governance implementation effectiveness. The research expects to contribute to theory with the development, validation and test of the proposed framework. The findings from validation and test will serve as an important guideline and strategies for administrative policy-making to practitioners in focusing on key elements of IT governance effectiveness, their factors and outcomes.
