Abstract:

This article reports the findings of longitudinal research about the maturity of software practices in Turkey. Two surveys were conducted in 2001 and 2008 in order to get the perceived maturity levels in SWEBOK’s knowledge areas of software engineering. SPICE capability levels were used for gauging maturity levels. It was found that software practices in the country are usually far from being mature and not much has changed in the time period of 2001-2008.
