A Maturity Model Framework for Assessing Organizational Processes in Enterprise Integration of Innovative Technology

Abstract:

This paper presents a summary of initial research in the development of a Technology Integration Maturity Model (TIMM) as a framework for evaluating technology-dependent organizations’ abilities to develop and deploy innovative products or services. The model is based on the premise that the most effective of these organizations are those that derive maximum competitive advantage by leveraging the combination of their capabilities and competencies. The paper briefly reviews theoretical foundations, presents a preliminary version of the TIMM, and offers suggestions for further research and refinement.
