A Minimum Mean Absolute Deviation Model for the Cloud Services Provider Selection

Abstract:

In the paper are presented several important issues in cloud computing. One of the important applications of cloud technology is in health care. It can improve significantly the safety, quality, and efficiency of health care. Special attention is paid to the Cloud Service Provider (CSP) selection problem. This problem deals with a potential cloud customer that is faced with the difficult problem of selecting a CSP from a set of CSPs according to his Quality of Service (QoS) criteria. The customer will choose the Cloud Provider whose services are best suited to his requirements and his budget. An optimization based approaches in cloud computing is presented. A minimum mean absolute deviation model for the CSP selection is formulated. Our model includes several evaluations of services made by a group of decision makers across several QoS criteria. The result is a 0-1 programming model based on the mean absolute deviation of the decision makers evaluations.
