A Preliminary Study: Emotional Connection towards E-learning Mobile Application Design for Children

Abstract:

People usually tend to rely on their emotion in making decision or doing something important in their lives. This emotion could affect how they view things around them and their decision everyday such as buying product, learning, communicating and memorizing. In order to give positive user experience or influence to a product, the product designer play the most important role in commercializing the product by applying some emotional design that could trigger the users' emotion towards the product. The User Interface Design (UID) could also do the same to users based on the emotional design implemented in the design and the emotional connection created by the designer that the designer want the user to feel. This emotional connection design could be applied to children e-learning application, so that they will feel the positive emotion in learning. The aim of creating the emotional connection on elearning for children is to make them have positive emotion towards learning.
