Abstract:
Trust in the team leadership is a concept that is key for the team´s success. On the other hand, more and more companies are organizing their workforces in virtual teams. This creates a new challenge for team management: building trust in leadership in a virtual environment. Previous studies have not reached a consensus on the use of a scale for the trust in leadership adapted to the virtual environment, therefore the aim of this study is to develop a scale that is adapted to these circumstances. The availability of a valid and reliable scale has important implications for the management of teams and the scientific progress in this area.
