A simulation study on the influence of prioritized multicast connections on traffic effectiveness network nodes

Abstract:

This study delves into the ramifications of traffic prioritization methods on the efficiency of multi-service network nodes, with a specific focus on the context of multicast transmission within a Clos network. Furthermore, the paper introduces fundamental algorithms and mechanisms utilized to construct the simulation framework, tailored for analyzing the interplay between multicast traffic and prioritization within the Clos network architecture. Additionally, a comprehensive set of research findings is included, elucidating the impact of traffic prioritization mechanisms on the performance of a Clos network during multicast transmissions.
