A Socially Responsible Attitude to an Employee – Selected Aspects

Abstract:

Corporate social responsibility is an integrated approach to managing an organization that includes responsibility for its overall operation. Currently, focusing on the most important stakeholders and key issues, also in the perspective of a workplace, is particularly important to companies. The aim of this paper is to assess the meaning of a socially responsible approach to an employee - key stakeholder - in companies and to identify its manifestations in practice. The aim of the paper dictates the paper’s layout. The outline of the CSR concept is presented, then the issues of a socially responsible approach to employees are addressed and so is the question of the employee area in the CSR concept. The paper is based on a critical literature review and available non-financial reports and existing data.
