Abstract:
In this work we have approached a series of issues related to the importance of qualityfocused strategies that contribute to the construction and development of the organization’s competitive advantage. Throughout this paper we have presented the importance of strategies and emphasized the Six Sigma strategy as a real growth driver of the economic performances, of achieving the excellence and ensuring a sustainable success. We have analysed this method from the perspective of a business system with a closed circuit based on algebra elements. We have also highlighted the three key characteristics that make a difference between Six Sigma and other strategies of quality and we have finally presented a case study expressing the relation – customer – defect – sigma level relieving a number of sizes referring to the “defective” units, defects and sizes based on determining the opportunities of defects occurrence.
