Abstract:
The changing nature of work context imposes new theoretical perspectives to understand and predict individual attitudes and behaviors, such as affective commitment. Thus, using a spiritual framework, this papers aims to explore how people think and determine their affective commitment towards their organization. Indeed, giving the new challenges facing the world of work and organizations, the study of such attitudes is of more interest within a spiritual work context. To this end, an exploratory case study was conducted with five Tunisian middle-managers to investigate their perceptions of different aspects of life and work, and their affective commitment. The data that was analyzed with Alceste software show that people who experience more adequately their inner values in work and within the work group, feel more attached to their organization.
