A study of value orientations of youth at Russian universities

Abstract:

The article attempts to substantiate the mechanisms of participation of regional universities in satisfying the request of young people to create equal opportunities for achieving success in life at the present stage. The work proves the expediency of developing value management mechanisms in the implementation of regional projects as part of the National Projects "Education" and "Science". The results of studies of value orientations of young people living in Penza region, Saratov region, and the Republic of Mordovia are presented. Some indicators of socio-economic development of these regions are given more fully, according to the authors, reflecting the social and economic aspects of value orientations of youth. The paper proves the expediency of highlighting blocks of activities of a typical strategic project of regional universities for different groups of youth depending on social status, age, level of material well-being based on the consideration of their value orientations determined in the course of studies by the authors.
