A Study regarding the Economic Status of Small and Mediumsized Enterprises (SME) during the Economic Crisis in Romania

Abstract:

This paper presents the economical situation in Romania concern small and medium enterprises during the period of the last two years. To get results and to present some useful information we design a questionnaire addressed to SME. Finally, we obtain responses from 27 companies and 120 respondents, placed, most of them, in the urban area and in one of the most important region of Romania, South of Muntenia. In order to identify the role of innovation management in helping the companies to survive and/or to develop in this period, by using the results of the questionnaire we considered some workshops focused on two main topics: inventiveness in organisations and carrying out some group projects by the participants, where innovative topics should be approached. Our approach conducted to some conclusions that could be used by the companies’ management to find solutions for SMEs in crisis periods.
