Academic Integrity: A Crucial Indicator of credibility for Higher Educational Institutions (HEI)

Abstract:

Academic integrity is a primary tool that is seen as a valuable characteristic of the foundation of any academic organization (Fishman, 2013). It is a comprehensive phenomenon of being ethical and having strong moral principles. Academic integration is the foundation of education (McHaney, Cronan, & Douglas, 2016). Academic integration is a blend of five fundamental values that includes honesty, trust, responsibility, fairness, and respect that should be supported by all educational stakeholders. Without these values, whatever is done by the students, educators, and researchers lose value (Fishman, 2013).
