Approach To The Narrative About Gender, Otherness And Violence Gender In Higher Education

Abstract:

The objective of this research is to investigate the narratives about sexual diversity in fourth and eighth semester students of the Antonio Nariño University Universities - UAN (South Campus), Minuto de Dios University Corporation - UNIMINUTO (South Campus) and Foundation Monserrate University - UNIMONSERRATE (San Antonio- South Campus). This issue appears due to needing to take actions and strategies in universities that avoid, mitigate violence and discrimination against young people belonging to sexual diversity in the higher education. This research project emerged as a need for knowledge about this topic in higher education, the first approach is to consolidate the narratives that have the students of teaching career. In this way, this study expected to found that the universities not facing this issues. Therefore could require a particular management that allows reflection, critical thinking and analysis in the students to approach diversity from their own experiences as university students and as future teachers In this sense, three categories of analysis were established: gender, otherness and gender violence which were established from one of the initial phases of the investigation. This research uses a qualitative approach mediated by ethnography and semi-structured interviews, it will achieve an approach to the undergraduate students of the mentioned universities, as well as the understanding how they develop, live and build their experiences. The project seeks to have positive impacts, one of them is to recognize the importance of talking point of view the gender in higher education, based on a pedagogy of care for teacher training, because this will allow to promote educational environments free of discrimination and violence.
