Abstract:

The importance of the benefits of e-business around the globe is getting plenty of attention, as it
influences greatly the uptake of e-business and conduct of the business online. It applies even more to the economies that are starting their journey into the cyber space such as countries in the Middle East region. This paper reports on a research into the benefits of e-business conducted among 5 companies in Dubai. The participating companies are from different industries including airline industry, electronics, recruitment, B2B marketplace operator, and e-solution provider. The major benefits reported to be achieved from those five companies include: Lower operation costs and resources, Convenience and time saving, International expansion, Competitive advantage, etc.
