Abstract:

This paper introduces advanced approaches to traffic accident prevention. If employed, these novel methods would significantly increase traffic safety not only in the Czech Republic. The first part of the paper describes a fully automated distribution of warning messages to drivers who are headed towards a traffic accident using an addressed broadcast system of RADIOHELP. The second part is dedicated to a concept of an early warning system. This system warns about a high risk of a traffic accident under specific conditions using prediction models, which predict a degree of an accident threat in real time and space.
