Abstract:

The environment surrounding the manufacturing industry is rapidly changing day by day. In 2019, the demand in Car’s Industry is suffering a decreasing. The organizations should adapt at the new tendencies and make the necessary changes.  For the majority of companies, in this fiscal year, the budget is already allocated and is not possible to make big changes. To keep the same level of profit, is mandatory to increase the cash flow. The only solution in crises time to increase the level of cash flow is to decrease the level of inventory, using the equipment at maximum efficiency and use the human resource at high efficiency. The present paper studying how to increase the level of cash flow in a company from Eastern Romania, Plant 1, using Advanced Planning and Scheduling. On side, using Gantt plan for short planning time (maximum 2 weeks) and on other side using SALT (an extension of SAP) to make a production’s leveling on middle term. The benefits will be visible from beginning: the result will be a stable call-offs along entire Supply Chain (internal and external), the backlog level will decrease (maybe disappear), the level of inventory will decrease, the working shifts will be leveled.
