Abstract:
The most recent debates in the European Union and across the world have started to focus upon the topic of what can be called AgTec (Agriculture Technology). It is about the use of technology in agriculture and the impact that the new technologies on the agricultural field. This impact, with deep and serious socio-economic effects, needs to be taken into consideration as we analyse the financial allocations for the next MFF post-2020 and for the national budget. We need to allocate today for tomorrow’s challenges in order to reduce the negative impact of these transformations as well as to assure a better allocation of limited financial resources. Planning the budget of the agricultural sector is a delicate matter when the present needs must take into consideration the technologies of the future as they progress in the agricultural field is an inexorable advance due to take place rather sooner than later and who cannot be stop but at the most it can only be well managed.
