Abstract:

Based on the growing importance of tourism in rural space, our research proposes to analyze the tourism and agritourism potential in Olt county, as well as the exploitation of this potential, analyze based on implementation of two questionnaires types, the first concerning the nine communes located in Olt county:Călui, Curtișoara, Gârcov, Gura Padinii, Leleasca, Oboga, Orlea, Pleșoiu and Sâmburești.The selection was based on the criteria of landforms (meadow, hill, plain), agrotouristic units size and by age structure. Two kinds of questionnaires were implemented, in order to point out the potential, promotion and exploitation opportunities, of different tourism forms, the first one adreresing decision makers and the second one, addressed to the 108 respondents (by 36 for each landform). The use of inquiry in the form of a questionnaire can support us in the empirical approach for identifying the degree of development, in this case a touristic area and can provide valuable information on the consumers needs. In order to determine the significance of collected data, a Chi- Square test was used to verify the assumption of association between the answers obtained at a question’s alternative.
