Abstract:

The global market currently offers a lot of software specialized in planning and management of company projects. These applications are usually integrated in the CRM (Customer Relationship Management) information systems for creating or maintaining a long-term positive relationship with customers, or exist as stand-alone software applications. Only in the Czech market, over 80 CRM information systems are available of domestic or foreign origin. Using parts of the CRM system for planning or managing projects in the environment of small- and medium-sized companies is too expensive. A possible solution is to acquire specific software focused only on project planning and management; however, this article offers an alternative solution, which can be quite easily implemented in the conditions of smaller companies in the area of planning and management. This article aims to demonstrate how to use knowledge of network graphs (CPM, PERT) to create a custom matrix functions in the MS Excel environment (using VBA).
