An Empirical Research on Co-creation in the Romanian Electronic Industry: The E-PICUS Case

Abstract:

In the current competitive and constant changing market, the ability to generate, develop and market original ideas and products is a key to the success of any company.  
In this context, the Internet and the new technologies represent a valuable instrument for companies, due to the fact that they can improve the firms’ capacity to actively engage all their stakeholders in collaborative innovation and keep a constant two-way dialogue throughout all the stages of new product development. 
Our paper details the stages of development of an online platform designed to implicate three types of stakeholders (costumers, partners/distributors and students) in a co-creation process for developing a new technology product, namely a video intercom with enhanced security features.
