An Integral Assessment Of The Efficiency Of Social Facilities

Abstract:

A balanced system of indicators for assessing the economic efficiency of social facilities should have at least two parameters: informative value and verifiability (empirical testability). The system of indicators forms the basis for methodological approaches to the analysis of economic, social, and biomedical efficiency of sanatorium-resort institutions and organizations.

The problem of studying and assessing the economic efficiency of sanatorium-resort health improvement services and the reserves for its increase consists of how fitting it is to assess economic efficiency separately from assessing social and biomedical efficiency if their efficiency exists at all. Economic efficiency should be studied and assessed independently of other human health components because sanatorium-resort health improvement and treatment services are included in the group of merit goods.
