Abstract:

This paper describes and discusses an integratedbmodel of IT project de-escalation based on an analysis of prior literature. The paper finds that de-escalation management should ideally be proactive and incorporate organizational learning. In this way, de-escalation is no longer managed as an isolated event but rather as part of an extended approach to project risk management.
