Abstract:

Nowadays, in the global world, companies to innovate must exchange information with other subjects like individuals, employees, enterprises, partners, customers and suppliers. In this way it is possible to acquire new ideas and competitive advantages. The new concept of Open Innovation, an innovation opens towards the external environment, is affirming.

In the paper we present a model of an Open Innovation 2.0 for a manufacturing enterprise that to interface with external subjects of the value chain use web 2.0 and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools to improve or develop new products/services. The open model can be implemented from companies, involved in innovative projects, in a new context of co-creation and co-production.
