Abstract:
In the gas distribution industry from Romania, the reading of the small consumers is made every three months, in different days of the week depending on the position of the street in the network. Due to this reason, major difficulties in making the gas balance occur and some estimation is needed. Unaccounted-for gas is introduced in calculus to make the estimation more precise.
The paper presents an original method based on simulations realised on the distribution network model. The results obtained are calibrated with the real data taken from a limited number of control points. The physical gas balance represents the base of the commercial balance. The method presented in this paper is currently being tested in two Romanian cities.
