Analysis and Estimates of the Consumption of Medicinal Oxygen in Romanian Hospitals

Abstract:

The article analyzes the information and data obtained regarding the total consumption of medicinal oxygen by the Romanian hospitals, obtained as a result of the statistical research of the medical oxygen market in Romania. The main purpose of the study is that the indicators obtained from the processing of the sample data should be extended with a certain probability to the entire collectivity, in order to characterize it from a statistical point of view and to extrapolate the information to the entire population. This study facilitates the prediction of the consequences associated with the multitude of alternatives in different states of the nature of the medical oxygen market in order to adopt the most appropriate techniques and methods aimed at diminishing the uncertainty of the company and the environment it operates. The economic significance of this study stems from the fact that the information obtained through the stratified survey, as well as the solving of some problems from the economic practice of the analyzed company, creates advantages for the companies operating on the medical oxygen market and for a potential competitor, because it removes restrictions on the partial or limited knowledge of the size, potential and evolution of the medical oxygen market, and the use of unrepresentative or inappropriate data to reveal cause and effect relationships at this market.
