Abstract:

In this work we analyse the content of public Facebook in relation to the political events.  These events are usually reported in common media every day and they also have a reflection in social media like Facebook. We focused on three isolated political events of Czech politicians. Such an event is described and the textual content analysed. Purpose of this paper is to present an answer to how a political event in social media behaves. We are observing strong reactions either positive or negative in some cases. We analyse the pieces of information (posts) on the Facebook, presented in Czech language, which may be considered as specific contribution of our paper as the text mining activities in other main languages (for example English, German) are far less common.
