Abstract:
Metal matrix composites (MMCs) represent a vast field of research, with multiple possibilities for developing and implementing research results at the level of high-growth industries. The relatively high cost of production is the main obstacle to the development and large-scale implementation of such technological solutions.
Under these conditions, an analysis of manufacturing technologies with additional emphasis on cost elements is needed. The high and dynamic demand for such materials further determines the need to optimize production and identify key technological and cost elements, with an impact on the final price of the product.
The sectors to which these products are addressed are characterized by strong competition, which determines the need for an analysis of aspects relating to cost of production as a major lever in order to obtain a competitive advantage on the market.
