Abstract:

In nowadays it is put more emphasis on economic growth and development especially because of the economic crisis. Nations and international organizations try to find new elements that can lead to national economic recovery. In our paper we proposed to analyze the competitiveness of Romanian economy in the first part of it and the factors leading to its sustainable growth .In the last part of our paper we analyzed the relationship between productivity , total investment and expenditure on research and development during 1993-2009 period .
