Abstract:
The purpose of the article is to analyze scientific publications, assessing the risk of anthropogenic pollution of aquatic landscapes and its environmental and economic consequences. Results. Theoretical and practical aspects of calculating the amount of economic compensation for the effects of anthropogenic pollution of water bodies are considered in the article. It is shown that in conditions when it is practically impossible to eliminate or reduce the level of environmental pollution to harmless biocenoses, economic compensation of losses necessitates the search for alternative and additional sources of funding for contaminated regions. Adequate and accurate forecasting of the amount of economic compensation plays an important role. At this stage, the legislation approves the need for economic compensation for damage to the environment caused by its anthropogenic pollution. Conclusions. An economic mechanism ensuring the expanded reproduction of natural resources, their protection, regulation of rational use of nature, should be based on the principle of compensatory in terms of nature use system of  appropriate payments. The main economic tool of it is the payment for natural resources and environmental pollution.
