Analysis of Reading Literacy in Schoolchildren when Teaching Physics in the Conditions of Delayed Control

Abstract:

The volume of processed information increases every year. Finding and evaluating information, making decisions, the ability to adapt to changing working conditions, and the ability to work in a team are important values of a modern person. To solve a wide range of everyday, social and educational tasks, it is necessary to have a formed level of development of students ' reading activity: to find and evaluate information.

The article provides with the problem of the formation of reading literacy among schoolchildren tested in all subjects within the framework of GIA, VPR, international studies (PIRLS, PISA, PIAAC) is considered. The role and significance of reading literacy among schoolchildren, college students, undergraduate and graduate students (school teachers) is analyzed.

Based on the analysis on the formation of reader literacy in physics lessons, we developed and tested tasks to supplement the text with words from the proposed list and made recommendations for the formation of these skills. In conclusion, the conditions for the formation of reader literacy in teaching physics are highlighted.
